Tata open to hybrid tech based on market demand but still opposes incentives

Tata Motors has expressed openness to hybrid vehicle technology, but emphasized that adoption will depend on consumer demand and market trends. Although they are open to the idea, the company continues to oppose state incentives for hybrids, saying that grants should be reserved for electric vehicles (EV), which better corresponds to long -term decarbonization goals. TATA is currently focusing on battery -electric vehicles (preserved) and believes that encouraging hybrids can remove attention and resources from EV infection. Tata officials claim that hybrids only offer partial emission cuts compared to EVS.
