Zanu PF wins Gutu East, Insiza North by-elections
In the recent election held in Zimbabwe June 10, 2025, the reigning Zanu-PF party won both Gutu East and Insiza northern constituencies. These choices were held to fill parliamentary seats that were declared unemployed. Gutu lately, Zanu-PF candidate Benjamin Ganiva won crucial, while the spare sithole claimed the Insa North seat for the same party. The choices were kept in the midst of resistance allegations of ongoing political tensions and unfair electoral practices. However, the Zimbabwe Election Commission (ZEC) declared the process free and fair. This victory further strengthens the position of Zanu-PF in parliament, and exploits the reigning party in legislative matters. Cittings Pallies, including Cititen's Gulition for Change (CCC), continues to raise concern about political environment, quotes scare and lack of openness. Nevertheless, the latest results reflect the continuous dominance of Zanu-PF in Zimbabwe's policy, especially in rural areas where it has a strong support basis.
