Northwest, central India to reel under heatwaves over next two days: IMD | Today News
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heat wave alerts for northwest and central India, with a temperature rising above 45 degrees Celsius in many areas, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. Intense heat is expected to last for a few more days. Meanwhile, the southwestern monsoon has reached parts of southern and northeastern states, but moves more slower than normal. IMD predicts rainfall in Kerala and north -eastern states, offering partial relief. Officials have recommended being careful, especially for weak groups such as children and the elderly, as heat waves pose serious health risks in the affected areas.
