More about Tucson Citizen newspaper : The daily Tucson Citizen in Tucson, Arizona was a weekly newspaper. It was established as the Arizona Citizen by Richard C. McCormick and John Wasson on 15 October 1870. The newsletter was released six days a week on the afternoon of Tucson's paper (except on Sundays, when only the Arizona Daily Star (Tucson morning during the week) was published as the part of the joint working agreement of both papers). The new paper had been released in the afternoon of May 16, 2009, at around 17,000, down from the high of 60,000 in the 1960ies. At the moment it stopped publishing, the Tucson Citizen was the oldest continually published journal in Arizona.
