After hearing the arguments, the Varanasi court on Wednesday (January 31, 2024) gave its verdict allowing Hindus to worship. The district administration has ordered to make necessary arrangements for performing prayers within a week. Nagendra Pandey, chairman of Kashi Vishwanath Trust, said that although the court gave a 7 days time for arrangements, the cellar was opened at 10.30 pm on Wednesday and performed worship according to Hindu Shastra with Veda mantras and priests. A video and photos related to these prayers were posted by Vishnu Shankar Jain, a lawyer on behalf of Hindus, on his official X account. Two prominent lawyers Vishnu Shankar Jain and Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi, who argued for the Hindus, said that all Hindus can participate in pujas with devotion.
