    More about The Daily Breeze newspaper : It is a daily newspaper with a circulation of 57,000 in Torrance, California, the U.S. It serves Los Angeles County's South Bay towns. The paper was established by local political activist S. as The Breeze weekly in 1894. Its slogan is "LAX to LA Harbour." The local Redondo Beach community first served D. Barkley. It spread to other coastal towns, and became a newspaper every day by 1922. Copley Press bought the Daily Breeze in 1928. The contest was closed in 1970 (TheTorrance Herald, 1913?1969). The Daily Breeze was hurt by the increase in Free News on the internet as did most of the newspaper sector, and the competitive Los Angeles media market. In 1999 the news pilot (San Pedro) was combined.
