In 1884 and some weeks later he ended up on a farm north to Jonesboro, he was taken to his home close Paducah, Ky. Later, he transferred to Brinkley & joined a group from Vaudeville, learning to take pictures while on stage. He finally arrived in the Indian Territory and took pictures of the families of the Indians (now Oklahoma). In 1899, with the money he made in his business of photography & a mule that his law-father gave him, he bought a weekly journal in Spiro, Native Indian territory.
