    More about The Daily Citizen newspaper : In September 1854 the Daily Citizen was named John J. Morrill as the Des Arc Citizen. Publication of the newspaper office during Civil War was suspended in 1862-1866. J.H. reopened the newspaper. Sold and balded to A.C. Matthews was sold to J.S. in 1867 and later. In 1872, Thomas. On 1st May 1880, under the ownership of J. J., the citizen consolidated with Des Arc Argus. In 1889, Baugh and the appeal from Prairie County. In 1889, Searcy was relocated and the newspaper was renamed White County Citizen. It was consolidated in 1890 and then became a daily newspaper with the Searcy Morning Call.
