California Aggie was first released as Agricola Weekly after it was approved by Associated Student Executive Committee. It is fully staffed by the Students of the UC Davis and the official campus pape. In his first few months, students from the University of California's dailies, The Daily Californian, gave advice to Weekly Agricola. Initially, Weekly Agricola focused on students and agricultural subjects. One of the 1st readers of weekly Agricola was the novelist Jack London. In 1922 year, it was changed their name to the athletic name of the school. Today, 4000 copies are distributed weekly in Aggie. It is accessible at many stands at the UC Davis campus free of charge.
