More about Napa Valley Register newspaper : A daily newspaper in Napa, California is the Napa Valley Register. Publication started on 10 August 1863. By 1864, "Valley" had fallen by its name and had simply become the Napa Register until over a century later it returned to the initial name. The early register would not be recognizable by contemporary readers if it were a community more renowned for its wheat than its wine grapes. The Register is one of Napa's two leading journals and is a forum for gossip, tall-tales, opinion, moral training, aphorisms, propaganda, entertainment and hardship. The paper used to be owned by the newspapers of the Scripps League.
