More about Argentinisches Tageblatt newspaper: In 1878, Johann Alemann & Moritz established the newspaper by a Swiss immigrent from Bern. It first appeared as the Argentinian weekly paper. Alemann then opened a daily newspaper in 1889, Argentinisches Tageblatt, together with his other siblings, Theodor and Ernst. The weekly Wochenblatt was published in the weekend until 1967. The Argentine Tageblatt was replaced by weekly newspapers in 1981, despite its name. During the Third Reich the Argentinean Tageblatt was one of numerous journals banned by the Nazis. During Hitler's tenure, paper possession was prohibited throughout the Third Reich
