More about The Monroe Journal newspaper: Monroe Journal is Monroe County, Alabama's oldest and longest-lasting paper. It was established in Clairborne in 1866. After selling it by L in 1867, it shifted to Monroeville. Mr Brewer.-Mr Brewer. It's been bought by Q. Salter, at the age of 20, in 1887. It would stay for 64 years in the Salter family.
