The Best Homemade Moisturizers For Glowing Skin

How do you make natural moisturizers at Home?

Preparing homemade moisturizers can be a fun and cost-effective way to nourish your skin. Especially in the winter season and in cold places, the use of these moisturizers is more. Even in summer, depending on the weather conditions, moisturizers are used for skin health. Here are a few easy recipes made with natural ingredients. Keep in mind that individual skin types vary, so it’s a good idea to perform a patch test before applying any new homemade product to your face or body.

1. Basic Homemade Moisturizer

Ingredients:

✦ 1/4 cup coconut oil

✦ 1/4 cup shea butter

✦ 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil

✦ Optional: a few drops of essential oil for fragrance (Lavender, Tea tree, or Chamomile)

Instructions:

1. In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil and shea butter over low heat until fully liquid.

2. Remove from heat and add the sweet almond oil.

3. Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes, then add any chosen essential oil for fragrance.

4. Place the mixture in the refrigerator until it starts to solidify around the edges.

5. Whip the mixture with a hand mixer until it becomes light and fluffy.

6. Transfer the moisturizer to a clean, airtight jar.

2. Aloe Vera Moisturizer

Ingredients:

✦ 1/4 cup aloe vera gel

✦ 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil

✦ 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets

✦ Optional: a few drops of lavender essential oil

Instructions:

1. Melt the beeswax pellets using a double boiler process over low heat.

2. Once melted, add the sweet almond oil and stir until well combined.

3. Take off from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

4. Add the aloe vera gel and essential oil (if using) and mix thoroughly.

5. Pour the mixture into a clean container and let it cool completely before sealing.

EFFECTIVE HOME-MADE COUGH SYRUP

3. Olive Oil and Honey Moisturizer

Ingredients:

✦ 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

✦ 1 tablespoon honey

✦ 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets

✦ Optional: Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

Instructions:

1. Melt the beeswax pellets using a double boiler process over low heat.

2. Add the olive oil and honey to the melted beeswax, stirring until well combined.

3. Take off from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

4. Add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance if desired.

5. Transfer the mixture to a clean, airtight container and let it cool completely before sealing.

4. Coconut milk Instant Moisturizer

Ingredients:

✦ 1/2 cup Coconut milk

✦ 1 tablespoon Rose water

✦ Optional: Add a few drops of Vitamin-E serum

Instructions:

1. Mix the above ingredients well and your moisturizer is ready.

2. It can be used as an instant moisturizer.

Remember to store these homemade moisturizers in a cool, dry place and use them within a reasonable time frame to ensure freshness and effectiveness. Adjust the ingredients depending on your skin type and preferences.
