Later those group were apparently died out and were succeeded by several other groups migrating from the North America. The Greenland was unknown to the Europeans until the 10th century. Greenland was colonized in by the years 985 to 986 by Eric the Red. Again it was re-colonized by the Royal Greenland Trading Company of Denmark in 1721.
